There once was an old couple who had been married for thirty years.

Every morning the old boy would wake up and give off an enormous fart, much to his long suffering wife's annoyance.

"You'll fart your guts out one of these days," she always complained.

After a particularly bad week the wife decided to have her revenge and got up early, placing some turkey giblets in the bed next to the old boy's arse.

While making breakfast downstairs she heard his usual morning fart reverberate through the floorboards followed by a scream.

Twenty minutes later a rather shaken man came downstairs.

"You was right all along Missus," the old man says, "I finally did fart my guts out, but by the grace of God, and these two fingers, I managed to push 'em back in!"

The new Supermarket near our house has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of a thunderstorm and the smell of fresh rain. When you approach the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and witness the scent of fresh butter fat. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cackle and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of eggs frying.

So far I have been too afraid to go down the toilet paper aisle.

I just finished marking the science workbook and I'm feeling rather disappointed. :(

The switch board in the labs are not working well and I know that my students will not be able to understand the factors affecting the brightness of the bulb. Afterall, seeing is believing and doing it by your own you will remember it better .

Just when I thought that i had to resort to simply "telling" the students instead of showing them the real thing, I discovered the circuit builder website. It is a very good tool to let students see the difference in the brightness of the bulb due to the different arrangement. It is even better than many of the switch board in labs. I thought that the students will be excited and benefit from the website.

But atlas, I was wrong!

I had provided my students with the link and password. All they need to do is to go to the class blog and click, but yet from the worksheet I know only a handful of students actually listen and explored the website.

What else can I do to get students to take responsibility of their own learning? How else can i make it easier for students to learn? I've served the "food"right up to their mouth. Now what i can do is to just see how many of them are willing to open their mouth and "eat".

Miss Ng can teach but Miss Ng cannot make you learn.

Initially i do think that this year NDP song is a bit SLOW, not as catchy but after listening it to many times ( Thanks to Zhao Xian for posting it up ), I kind of like the song. I find the lyrics kind of meaningful too.

What do the rest of you think?

Dear 5D,

We will be embarking on a one-week IPW process next week.
We will try our hands on making a kite that can stay in the air for the longest time.

Your group can try to work on either changing the material of the kite or changing the size of the kite.

I will brief the class further when I get back. ( Ms Ng is having gastric.. :( )

Meanwhile, I hope you can get yourself into groups of 4 ( restrictions must have at least 2 different race this is in line with your Racial Harmony.)
