I just finished marking the science workbook and I'm feeling rather disappointed. :(

The switch board in the labs are not working well and I know that my students will not be able to understand the factors affecting the brightness of the bulb. Afterall, seeing is believing and doing it by your own you will remember it better .

Just when I thought that i had to resort to simply "telling" the students instead of showing them the real thing, I discovered the circuit builder website. It is a very good tool to let students see the difference in the brightness of the bulb due to the different arrangement. It is even better than many of the switch board in labs. I thought that the students will be excited and benefit from the website.

But atlas, I was wrong!

I had provided my students with the link and password. All they need to do is to go to the class blog and click, but yet from the worksheet I know only a handful of students actually listen and explored the website.

What else can I do to get students to take responsibility of their own learning? How else can i make it easier for students to learn? I've served the "food"right up to their mouth. Now what i can do is to just see how many of them are willing to open their mouth and "eat".

Miss Ng can teach but Miss Ng cannot make you learn.

Wow!That was a good speech i will strike my best in my CA2 .

Ms Ng,there's a negative thing about the website.You cannot put the bulb and the battery together.
